L’ANNEXE

ANNE-SO & ALEX are both from the region. With this restaurant, they wanted to create a place that represents them — a place where they, as food and restaurant enthusiasts, would love to spend some quality time with their close ones over a nice meal!

L’Annexe is the restaurant where Alex can finally let his inspiration run wild! In the kitchen, he is free to create and to explore new recipes to sublimate his suppliers products. He works on the raw product to surprise you by transforming it in original and unexpected ways!

His cuisine is simple, generous and bold, and it puts the product at the heart of the dish.

Carefully selecting quality produce is at the heart of their philosophy. Through his cooking, Alex shares the story of the local producers, craftsmen and farmers he works with, looking for new flavours and for sometimes undervalued products. His choices are made within a short food supply chain and respect what the season offers locally.

Their Proust’s madeleine, the dish that brings them back to their childhood ?

“Jardinière de légumes, a mix of vegetables. My maternal grandmother had a huge vegetable garden. When I was growing up, I used to spend all my summers there. I was the one in charge of shelling the peas – my specialty!”

Their Proust’s madeleine, the dish that brings them back to their childhood?

“My mum’s carbonnade flamande, a Flemish stew: the ultimate warm and comforting dish, which she would make every time she knew my friends were coming over!”

Alex

It was important to Alex and Anne-Sophie that the kitchen be at the centre of the dining area and keep it open, so that the team is at the heart of the culinary experience.

The elegant decoration was made from raw and industrial materials. It creates a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. You’ll feel just like home! In the little sitting-room at the back of the restaurant, you’ll find some cooking books for you to flick through!

Anne-Sophie and her team are here to attend your needs in the dining area, with simplicity. Anne-Sophie has chosen winemakers from all over France to go with Alex’s dishes. The wines on the menu have been sourced during their different trips discovering winemakers who are passionate about what they do, just like Anne-Sophie and Alex.
